Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to join our team. This contract position, available immediately, provides an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in Congolese cuisine, learn new cooking techniques, and contribute to a growing business. The Culinary Assistant will primarily help with catering orders and provide support during our cooking classes.

Responsibilities

Play a crucial role in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a wide variety of dishes specifically made for catering orders. You will be involved in every step of the process, from gathering ingredients to the final presentation of the dish.

Provide essential support during our popular cooking classes. This includes setting up the cooking area before each class, assisting the main teacher during the class to ensure a smooth learning experience for all attendees, and cleaning up the area after the class.

In addition to these main tasks, you will also be responsible for performing other culinary-related duties as required. This may vary from maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, which is essential for a smooth workflow and to meet health and safety standards, to assisting with the management of food and kitchen inventory to ensure we are always well-stocked and prepared for all our culinary activities.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary styles.

No specific knowledge of Congolese food is required as we are committed to providing comprehensive training to enhance your culinary skills and understanding of our cuisine.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, and work well within a team.
